The new brand everyone in the UK should be buying.
Hoko are a Barcelona based, Spanish sports retailer selling high quality performance materials for top functionality and comfort and I've recently been chosen by them to be their UK ambassador. Now you've most likely never heard of them before so think X-Bionic quality and features with half the price tag.
The composition of all garment appears on all of their products with a different pattern using the fibre to detail the features of the materials and the performance you can expect to get from them.
All the material is made of polypropylene, a technical, extra light, insulating, breathable, hypoallergenic and ecological material. Their products have a number of qualities and features:
- elastic and compressing
- retains elasticity
- stays fresh and doesn't smell quickly after sweating
- seamless so you won't chafe
- tight fitting
- resistant to over stretching, abrasion and breakage
- soft
- no labels
But the best thing about Hoko is the low costs of its products. For such technical performance and high quality gear, it's prices are very reasonable compared to the likes of it's competitors such as X-Bionic (which I still love but just sometimes can't justify buying).
The kit is suitable for exercise whether you're in the gym, cycling, out running on the road or trails or when racing.
For the moment, their products are only being sold online through their website but with a speedy three day international delivery service from Barcelona you don't need to wait long to get your kit.
If you have any questions about their kit, their customer service team on info@hoko-esport.com are always available or I have most of their ladies kit so you can ask me and I can try to help.
HANAE LEGGINGS
I'm writing about the Hanae leggings first because they are my new favourite leggings in the whole world! I have quite a curvy body and find it hard to get leggings that don't cut into my waist and cause overhang so most of the time you might see me in skorts. However, the Hanae leggings have a soft and wide waistband with no drawstring, that hugs the waist enough to not fall down but not too much that it causes muffin tops! They also hug my big behind perfectly (and actually make it look quite perky).
On top of looking and feeling good, the material is extra soft and lightweight yet also compressing. They are also practical with a small pocket on the left leg, which is perfect to hold your keys or cards. I wear these in the gym, cycling and running and take a size medium.
Trim, curvy and bootylicious ladies, look no further!
KAMIKAZE SHORTS
Comfort, affordability, durability and adaptability; some of the most important features I look for when choosing running kit. The Kamikaze shorts have all of these attributes and more. As Hoko's best selling ultra distance shorts in Spain, these should prove popular in the UK too.
Perfect for all conditions, with thermal comfort for the winter and cooling breathable material for the summer.
I choose to wear these on a long run, particularly on the trails to aid recovery through compression on the thigh and glute muscles. The fitting material keeps shape and elasticity throughout the run and the pocket on the side is brilliant for anything you might need easy access to.
You can get these on the website here in several different colours.
